Help

How can we help?

Guides for running your library, how we handle your data, and a real person when you need one.

Setting up for the first time

Six steps take a new library from an empty account to lending. Each one opens the matching guide.

  1. Step 1

    Create your organization

Your organization holds your libraries, your team, and your billing.

  2. Step 2

    Set up your first library

Name it, set a default loan length, and decide who can borrow from it.

  3. Step 3

    Add your first carrier

Brand, model, condition, and status, so the shelf matches the screen.

  4. Step 4

Invite your team and assign roles

Add the people who help run the library and choose what each can do.

  5. Step 5

    Import an existing spreadsheet

Move carriers and caregivers over by CSV instead of retyping them.

  6. Step 6

    Understand tiers and carrier limits

What counts toward your plan's cap and what happens when you reach it.

Common questions

Questions about plans, pricing, and invoicing are answered on the pricing page.

Can I move my existing spreadsheet into Carrier Stash?
Yes. You can import carriers, equipment, and caregivers from a CSV, on every plan including the free one. Download the template from the Import page, fill it in, and upload it. An Org Admin or a Library Owner runs the import. Loans are not imported, since those get created when you check a carrier out. How bulk import works.
What happens if I go over my plan's carrier limit?
Nothing gets deleted. Your organization goes into soft lock, which makes the affected areas read-only until you are back under the limit or you upgrade. You can still check carriers in and close loans, so nothing stays stuck out on loan, and reservations and the waitlist keep working. What pauses is new lending and growth: starting a check-out, adding carriers, and creating libraries. Limit and lock questions.
Do archived carriers count toward my limit?
No. Only active carriers count. Archiving a carrier you are not lending right now frees a slot without losing its history. Equipment has its own separate cap, so equipment never eats into your carrier count. Tiers and carrier limits.
Who on my team can see and do what?
Each person you invite gets a role, and the role decides what they can reach. Roles run from managing the whole organization down to helping at a single library. The docs list each role next to the actions it allows. Roles explained.
Can I get my data back out?
Yes. You can export your inventory and loan history to CSV whenever you want. The export columns match the import template, so a file you export re-imports as-is. Export to CSV.
